Phone numbers are easy to find, and there is also a collection of "virtual guides."
Consumer Satisfaction: While the Allstate Headquarters is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, it nevertheless has an overall rating of A+ based on customer satisfaction, and customer service responses. Some individual offices have their own ratings, and consumers are advised to check their local offices specifically on the BBB's website. Viewpoints.com users rate the company with 3.81 out of a possible 5 stars, and 75% of those reviewing the company would recommend it to others. Of note is that Allstate has steep credit requirements, so getting Allstate coverage can be challenging, though people are treated well overall once they have it.
Connectivity: Allstate's website (www.allstate.com) is fairly extensive, with separate headers for auto, home, and life insurance. It has sub-menus highlighting special programs, for example, information for teen drivers, as well as links to educational articles and other resources. Is there an app for that? Allstate offers a variety of smartphone apps including Allstate Mobile, "What's your life worth?" and "GoodRide by Allstate." All are free.
